About this Journal
Just the day to day happenings of me, condensed into text format. Expect entries on topics mundane, fantastic, and everything inbetween.

Entries labeled "Within the Mind's Eye" are thoughts which I need to put somewhere, besides my head. Please don't see them as a cry for attention, drama, or anything like that. Sometimes, even the listener needs to speak.

Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?...

The Queen's Knight

Congrats! Only 4-5% of the population score this!

The Queen’s Knight is armed with rose-colored glasses. The mundane comes to life and nature becomes expressive of spirit. The interesting thing about this Knight is the ability to switch from fantasy to reality. There are exceptions to the rule, but this is the type that may have had imaginary friends as a youngster. Their stuffed animals also were great companions. The Queen’s Knight will see the good in almost anyone or anything – but their depth of emotion can remain hidden even from themselves. Circumstances tend to reveal sudden responses.

Not all life is rosy and this Knight is not exempt from disappointment or frustration with humanity. They may feel incompetence when dealing with their own ethical values. Things aren’t simply white black, but a grand battle of Good versus Evil. Evil must be reckoned with but Good shall eventually win. It is not that they fight evil, but that they fight for the essence of moral good. Doing something good is quite satisfactory for them and indeed increases their happiness. It is when something is not reciprocated to them that they are saddened and disappointed by others. They learn that others aren’t as self-sacrificing.

The Queen's Knight is dominated by an inner world of intense feeling and deeply rooted ethics. They seek to form their life based on their views. They are highly curious of those around them so are readily accepting of others unless their values are being threatened. They promote insight and understanding amongst others and contribute well thought ideas. They however can be a bit too idealistic.

Cross-posted from [info]hrairoo0's LJ for increased audience size:

It comes time for me to move out of this apartment as the end of the month fast approaches. I am about half-way packed. The washer and dryer are giving me something of a storage conundrum --the rest of my furniture I have found temporary homes for. They are large and heavy. I think that I will just rent a storage unit for them. That said, I need help getting them to said storage unit, mainly in the form of a vehicle large enough to carry them. Also help with getting the rest of the furniture to its new home (again with the needing a vehicle). Any volunteers?

Anyone looking to help, please contact her. It would be much appreciated.

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 30-20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track title correctly. Yes the artist too.
Step 4: For those who are guessing -- looking the lyrics up on a search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game, post your own.

Some I'm sure you'll find easy. Others are wicked hard.
Also, in case you couldn't tell, I have an incredibly eclectic taste in music. Enjoy!

Current Mood: Tired
Current Music: Michael Andrews, Mad World
I was going to write about how boring this class was, but now I'm wicked into it. Which, as a note, makes me a giant dork given it's a Math/CS Theory class.

School is going really well. I'm getting into the routine of class and soon homework will join in with that. I got a couple assignments due in a couple of weeks, so I'll get started on those soon.

Still working on this tired thing. I have no issues getting up early, but I do feel tired through out the day. I've also started having people notice, saying I wicked wicked out of it. My main problem is I'm not getting a ton of sleep. I try to go to bed earlier, but it's not typically easy. I might take up napping, but I'm not sure that'll help.

Today's song goes out to a very lonely and scared little boy. He shivers in the Shadows, wondering why it just won't end...

I'll be honest with all of you. I'm really surprised I got up early two mornings in a row. For those who might not know me, I'm not a morning person and I typically despise them. I hate getting up at 9am, much less 6am. My body seems to be adjusting rather well, however, and doesn't cry out when my alarm goes off. Granted, it could be so early my body has no idea what's going on and just assumes I haven't slept yet. *smile*

Classes are going well. It's helps my adviser is teaching three of my five classes, and thus I understand her teaching style. Also, they're all interesting to me which is going to help tremendously.

Today's song is dedicated to Love. They say Love conquers all, but how will it fare against an all consuming Shadow?

Well, school has started again. Means I'm back to hitting the books...at 7am. So, in what I can only assume was a lapse of judgment, I now have class at 7am Mon-Thu (Fridays I get to sleep in). This means I'm not getting up at 6am to get ready for school and take off. Bleh! I've never been a morning person, so this is quite the change for me. Expect entries on sleep depped based comedy in the future.

Aside from school, I also have an event coming up at the end of the month. The event is laid out, with encounters planned and ready. Main thing to do is flesh out some areas and build a few things. I'm sure I'll be ready for it, but it just seems to be coming up so fast.

Other aspects of life are going very well. At least, I'm happy and that's what honestly matters. *smile* I suppose we'll see what happens from here. I always have been one to play it by ear.

So, since I've started posting again, I'll begin posting music again. To get people ready for my event, I'll start throwing out songs related to its various themes. This song is about Loyalty. Enjoy!

Like others, I too have gotten a double choice. Any opinions as to which seems to fit?

My sphere is Knight (Know Loyalty and Respect), and my class is Defender (Peaceful, yet Potent).

I am a Retainer.

To be a Retainer is to be the ultimate Knight. When the kings of old were threatened, or faced with any obstacle of special note, it was the Retainer they called upon to act in the liege's name. To be an excellent Retainer is to bring great honor to yourself and those you work for, while instilling happiness and security in the people around you.

What kind of Warrior are you?

My sphere is Guardian (Person of great Love and Altruism), and my class is Defender (Peaceful, yet Potent).

I am a Warden.

To be a Warden is to be the ultimate Guardian. Whether a physical Guardian or an essential Guardian, is up to you. You may be both. To be a physical Guardian is to be a living, breathing testament to the love you carry for a person, or people, whose lives you will always defend if you possibly can. To be an essential Guardian is to be a living, breathing testament to the security that your wards seek, and will look to you for your always kind, always nurturing support.

What kind of Warrior are you?

So, while I have every intention of giving a real update and what not, I actually need some help for an upcoming project.

I am making a small technical document about LJ and its features. What I would love to hear from you guys is what features LJ offers. I really only do the basics, so research needs to be done. The best research, in my opinion, if to ask those who use it regularly and to a fuller extent than I.

So, please comment with the features you use, both basic and advanced. I appreciate all the help I get. Thanks!

So, part of my birthday included jacking my computer to ridiculous power levels. Needless to say, I want to push it and bask fully in its glory. So I'm looking for suggestions on a game to pick up. I'm pretty open on game selection. I'm mainly looking to really test the limits of my machine, while simultaneously having fun. *smile*

Please, let the suggestions begin!

Had a really great weekend. Friday night went incredibly well, although it did run slightly later than I would have liked. Saturday was a great event I had a ton of fun at. Although I probably won't jump to the fighter train full-time, it's good to branch out every now and then. Finally, Sunday was amazing because it was my birthday. *smile* I got to see my friends, hang out, play video games, and see Live Free or Die Hard. Honestly, it was exactly what I wanted to do and so I really enjoyed it.

Now summer classes start up again and I need to get ready for school. I'll try to keep on top of this updating thing again. 'Til later.

Just a few quick items before I go to bed:

- Party at [info]oakfellow's, for those who might not have heard. Come over and have fun! Seriously, this will be the place to be.

- [info]oakfellow and I are working hard on a new magic system. It's really beginning to shine and form into something which I think will take the game very far. Now just to start showing it off and get people on board for it.

- Taking English Composition II during the first half of the summer. Already did some small writings for it and I believe I've impressed my professor. His comments were very positive and gave my some good advice to refine my writing style. I think this will be an excellent class for me.

- Lastly, I'll leave you with a song I had just recently started listening to. Makes me smile... Enjoy!
